Firemen's Prayer

WHEN I AM CALLED TO DUTY
GOD WHEREVER FLAMES MAY RAGE
GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO SAVE SOME LIFE
WHATEVER BE THE AGE HELP ME EMBRACE
A LITTLE CHILD BEFORE ITS TO LATE OR
SAVE AN OLDER PERSON FROM THE HORROR
OF THAT FATE. ENABLE ME TO BE ALERT AND
NEAR THE WEAKEST SHOUT AND QUICKLY
AND EFFECTIVELY TO PUT THE FIRE OUT IWANT
TO FILL MY CALLING AND GIVE THE BEST IN ME
TO GUARD MY EVERY NEIGHBOR AND PROTECT
HIS PROPERTY AND IF ACCORDING TO YOUR
WILL I HAVE TO LOSE MY LIFE .PLEASE
BLESS WITH YOUR PROTECTING HAND
MY CHILDREN AND MY WIFE

Amen
Family
It's a close knit family that I joined
Although our parents are not of the same loin
We share a closeness still the same
When one hurts we all feel the pain
After this day of agony and horror beyond belief
We sit and wait for some sign of relief
We will stand united as we always have
But we all will be oh so sad
So many brothers we have lost
We push forward each day damning the cost
They say that there are no hero's anymore
But we know different ,we kiss them goodbye as
they walk out the door
My heart goes out to each and everyone of you
Please let us know if there is anything we can do
Not just today but everyday of our life
Remember it takes courage to be firemen's wife
Catherine Cameron
I am the American Eagle
and I shed a tear with you today.
My wing has been wounded,
and my flight of freedom taken away!

Give me time to repair my wings,
dry my tears and heal some more.
But make "no mistake"
I, the "American Eagle"
will again fly high and Soar!

No One Asked

No one asked them why they were going in
While everyone else was rushing out
No one asked them if they were married
No one asked after their kids
People praised them and said a prayer
But there wasn't time to ask
They couldn't see where they were going
Because they didn't know
They may have been looking for someone in particular
But a different someone in particular was looking for them
They could hear the cries, feel the panic.
But no one asked them how they felt.
Later on, when that different someone asked them how they felt, why they went up, He already knew the answer.
They were climbing up to Him. In Heaven.
And while they now know where they are and can see where they're going, they'll look back at us, and know where they've been.
They may miss us, but they've done all they can here. So they'll keep an eye on you. And they'll be full of love, pride, and hope.
Even from there, they will still have hope.
And they'll start planning a party, or a fundraiser, or some excuse to just get together.
And wait for you to join them. But only when He's ready.
Because they're pretty booked up there right now.
